Like the late and great Harold Bloom wrote concerning the main Gnostic thrust “Everything that can break should be broken.”
And confronting (and breaking) the Dark Archetype is imperative. Who is this seemingly new villain? You know it today as the Military-Industrial Complex, Moloch, or the latest manifestation of the Empire of Philip K. Dick’s VALIS. But it’s more complicated. What isn’t complicated is that unless we confront this entity right now in our culture, nothing else is going to get better. That’s simple. I used to make fun of peaceniks back in my sleep-walking days. Now I realize they were the shamans of the day. Many of these shamans like JFK, Martin Luther King Jr., and John Lennon paid the ultimate price for daring to go against the Dark Archetype.
